Beginning Sunday, October 4th, we will be offering a Communicants Class.
What is a Communicants Class?
It is an important intro class for children who are considering joining the church as members, professing their faith, and being invited to partake of the Lord’s Supper. It is for those who want to know more about the meaning of Communion and joining the church, and to prepare them to begin celebrating it. If you want to learn more details about Communicants Class please read this letter.
Who can attend?
This class is designed for children ages 3rd-6th grade. If you have a middle schooler or high schooler who is interested in taking a communicants class, please reach out directly to brad@restorationsouthide.org.
Children younger than 3rd Grade
Parents should discern if their child is ready for the class before signing them up. Do they understand their own sin? Do they feel sorry on their own without prompting? Do they know what it means to have saving faith in Jesus Christ?
Due to limited registration, we will prioritize ages 3rd and up in registration to make sure these children are able to attend the class.
Time
Class will take place during the 10:45 AM service at the same time that Children's Church meets (directly after the scripture is read before the sermon).
Dates: October 4, October 11, October 18, October 25, November 1, November 8, November 15 (meetings with elders and Care Team)
Location: Suite on Broad Main Living Room
